PooPoo Peanut
I have an abnormal relationship with my daughter's poop.
One day I found a piece of crayon in her diaper as I was tossing them into the laundry.
I assumed it had gotten in through the leg while she was playing or something akin, threw it away, and went on my merry way.
a few days later, I found a tag. I could still read said tag. I assumed, again, threw it away and carried on about my day.
a few days later, I found a bb. I had just taken this diaper off of her when I noticed and I realized she had footed pajamas on. There was no way this bb had gotten in that diaper any other way than through her mouth.
Since then I have always checked her diapers to see what she has been eating when I have my back turned.
Today I found something that scared me worse than anything else ever has. Usually I am just exasperated, amused, confused, but I haven't ever been scared.
Today, I found a peanut.
For those of you that don't know, you aren't supposed to give babies peanuts until after they are a year old because it could cause severe allergic reactions.
The fact that she had eaten one and we hadn't even known scared me. What if something had happened to her and I had no idea what was wrong? What if she had gotten sick or a rash and I brushed it off as something else due to the fact that I DIDN'T KNOW she had eaten that peanut.
I have been extremely careful about the things that I let her eat; especially since we suspect she has FPIES.
It drives me crazy to know that things like that can lurk in the floor and I would never know because we are all crammed into this tiny bedroom with all of our stuff. I can't even vacuum properly, much less get into all the nooks and crannies that she can to find that one singular peanut. What if it's not even just one? What if there is an entire horde of peanuts hiding somewhere, waiting to make their allergy-inducing move on my daughter?
I honestly wish that I could just super clean this tiny room and then deny access to anything that could possibly harm my daughter.
HELICOPTER PARENT MUCH?
I know, I know. I'm going to calm down. I just have to get this out! I can't believe she ate a PEANUT!
I know you're all thinking, "It's just a peanut." but that's just it...IT'S JUST A PEANUT!
It feels so terrible to know that such a tiny thing could do so much damage. Especially when that tiny thing was hiding somewhere in our bedroom.

For those of you that aren't aware...
I am terrible at keeping up with blogs, but I am going to actively pursue a more involved lifestyle. I am going to try my best to cut out the procrastination and be more productive every day; that includes writing in this blog if for no other reason than to document that I actually did something.
My daughter is now 10 months old. We have been cloth diapering for 8 months now and we are just now encountering our first big issue.
Yeast.
My daughter got sick, which led to an ear infection, which led to antibiotics, which led to a yeast infection, which led to a TERRIBLE diaper rash. Now she cries and scratches herself anytime we take her diaper off. I know it will help if we could just get her to leave her diaper off, but I suppose that makes it itch worse...?
My husband and I are currently living with his mother, stepfather, and two younger brothers. There are 7 of us in one house. Let me tell you, it gets pretty crazy around her sometimes.
Here's the rundown:

My husband is currently working for a collection agency, which is ironic since we get so many collection calls. We are hoping to get rid of most of them with our income tax.
Here's a quick update on Penny:
She's still cute.
She's walking.
She says mama and dada.
She hates clothes.
She loves Pocoyo, Doc McStuffins, and The Fresh Beat Band.

- has a bad habit of falling asleep while studying.
- Brandon: Teenager/Comedic Relief/Babysitter/Uncle
- He plays video games 92% of the time;
- the other 8% consist of YouTube videos, babysitting Penny or Joshua, eating, or homework/school.
- Joshua: Little Brother/Uncle
- 6 year old who loves video games as much as his two older brothers;
- his curiosity knows NO BOUNDARIES.
- He loves to play with Penny.
